Who knows when this will be. I'm so confused, is it just this particular agency or what. Can they work on the 1662 and the civilian stuff at the same time?</div>

The Centers for Medicare &amp; Medicaid (CMS) San Francisco Regional Office is looking for an Officer to work as a Nurse Consultant within the Customer Service Branch (CRB) in the Division of Medicare Health Plans Operations. <b>The Billet is an 0-5 billet and needs to be filled as soon as possible.</b> <b><u>**This position is located in San Francisco, California**</u></b><br />
 <br />
CRB is looking for a Commissioned Corps Officer to contribute to the approval, monitoring and oversight of the Program for the All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) and to act as a subject matter expert for the Medicare Advantage Organization clinical quality program. PACE plans are a combined program for direct patient care of frail seniors. CRB’s role is to monitor the clinical care delivered and ensure that PACE plans are providing appropriate care in accordance with PACE regulations. CRB also monitors the Medicare Advantage Organizations and its clinical quality program including the management of the Chronic Care Improvement Program (CCIP) and the Quality Improvement Programs (QIP).<br />
 <br />
To be eligible, the candidate must have: <br />
Thorough knowledge of agency, departmental and federal policies regarding PACE and Medicare Advantage Organization clinical quality.<br />
Registered Nurse is mandatory.  <br />
Clinical Quality background and/or utilization review background preferred.<br />
Thorough knowledge of Interdisciplinary Team protocols (IDT). <br />
Experience in auditing and conducting clinical site visit<br />
Must be able to spot potential issues, skill in analyzing issues and developing/presenting recommendations or option papers to management. <br />
Skill in interpersonal communication and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing is essential.  <br />
Able to provide technical assistance.  <br />

The incumbent will interact with other Agency and Department components, national professional organizations, and other government agencies regarding the prescription drug benefit. <br />
 <br />
The incumbent will also prepare responses to highly technical inquiries about various aspects of the law, regulations, policies, etc. from Congresspersons, professional organizations, the general public, etc. regarding the Medicare prescription drug program.<br />
 <br />
<u>To be eligible, the candidate must have: </u><br />
<br />
 Demonstrated ability to review formularies, utilization management programs, and clinical justifications in order to ensure compliance with Part D program regulations and guidance. <br />
 <br />
Demonstrated ability to communicate with plan sponsors both orally and in writing on formulary issues. <br />
 <br />
Demonstrated ability to complete analyses at the intermediate level using Microsoft Excel and Access. <br />
<br />

The United States Penitentiary (USP) in Marion, Illinois is currently seeking an Assistant Health Services Administrator. The billet will be an O-5.<br />

The United States Penitentiary at Marion, Illinois, is a part of the Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons. USP Marion is a medium security facility which houses approximately 1,100 male inmates. Approximately half of the population is comprised of inmates who are enrolled in the Sex Offender Management Program. The institution provides a full array of programs commensurate with the needs of the population. A satellite prison camp is located adjacent to the main institution. It houses approximately 310 male short-term offenders and long-term offenders who are nearing the completion of their sentences. <br />
 <br />
One of Marion's biggest assets is its proximity to numerous recreational sites in southern Illinois. Marion is in the center of the region's paradise of natural beauty and outdoor recreation and is the gateway to the Shawnee National Forest. Nearby Crab Orchard Wildlife Refuge encompasses 44,000 acres and boasts the largest man-made lake in Southern Illinois. Other nearby lakes include Devil's Kitchen, Little Grassy, Lake of Egypt, Rend Lake, Cedar Lake and Kinkaid Lake. Two spectacular state parks are located only minutes from Marion. Ferne Clyffe State Park is a 1,000 acre park in a scenic wooded area with unique rock formations. Giant City State Park features 3,694 acres of wooded and sandstone foundations. Both parks offer an abundance of fascinating plants and wildlife. Marion is home to Kokopelli Golf Club. This championship-level facility will challenge the most experienced golfers. Other courses nearby include Crab Orchard Golf Course, Stone Creek, The Gambit, Lake of Egypt Country Club, Franklin County Country Club, Rend Lake Golf Course, Benton Country Club and numerous other public courses. Marion is located two hours from St. Louis, Missouri, and three hours from Nashville, Tennessee.<br />

The Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) is under the supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA). The AHSA, in collaboration with the HSA, manages and directs the activities of a multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals who are responsible for medical, dental, and other health care services to the inmate population. The incumbent serves as an advisor to the administration regarding the overall administrative management and operations of health services and provides advice and recommendations regarding medical programming in consultation with medical providers. The AHSA manages and directs the administrative activities of health care professionals. This requires an understanding of the critical balance between the administrative and clinical functions in the health care delivery system. It also requires the knowledge and skills to coordinate control programs and resources to achieve this balance, and knowledge to apply the specialized principles and practices of health care management in directing a health care delivery system. The health care services provided include inpatient and outpatient care in either an institution setting or at a local hospital, as well as routine health maintenance services, emergency services, and chronic care of inmates with long term illnesses. The AHSA serves as the alternate Cost Center manager, and assists the HSA in managing a procurement system to provide adequate levels of medical, dental, and pharmaceutical supplies. A knowledge of basic fiscal management principles and an acute awareness of the cost of medical equipment, supplies and services is required. Programs and budget proposals must be implemented which reflect past expenditures and changing program priorities. Performs duties as a supervisor. Provides administrative supervision to subordinate staff which includes Registered Nurses, Physician’s Assistants, Quality Improvement/Infection Control Coordinator, and Commissioned Officers of the Public Health Services. Establishes and maintains good relationships with local hospitals and other health services installations, representatives from colleges and universities, accrediting agencies, and the community at large. Develops and coordinates internal review systems to assure compliance of the American Correctional Association and Joint Commission on Accreditation, as well as other regulatory groups and higher agency authorities. Assures both administrative and clinical activities are integrated and in compliance with these standards. .<br />

The incumbent is responsible for managing and maintaining database(s) of training curriculum and program records for PH and TBI on behalf of Education Directorate . Serves as Contracting Officer’s Representative and/or perform administrative and logistical functions in support of DCoE Continuing Education Units/Continuing Medical Education.   Accomplishes and promotes effective sharing of PH and TBI training and education programs within DoD as well as VA. Ensures that PH/TBI training developed and/or maintained for DCoE is in compliance with DoD Training DoDI/Regulations such as Computer/ Electronic Accessibility. Conducts course functionality and other tests to ensure compliance with established guidance.
