Does anyone have information on permanent promotions.... why the boards were able to meet and make decisions but the promotions have been put on hold? At first it seemed as if some admin work needed to be finished:
"Important Information Regarding PY2010 Competitive Permanent Grade Promotions

The success rates for Promotion Year (PY) 2010 Permanent Grade Promotions have not yet been determined. OCCO will release the PY2010 Permanent Grade Promotion results at the earliest possible date once those success rates have been approved. However, for your immediate consideration, the PY2010 Permanent Grade Promotion Board score sheets have been released to officers' eOPF's."
However, it's been so long that I'm beginning to wonder if the success rates are somehow linked to a larger problem. Anyone have any information or insight?

When checking my commissioned corps application status, it states that it was received on 08/13 and that the medical evaluation was requested on 08/19. I haven't received anything notifying me of this. Should I go a head and get the medical exams, or should I wait until I receive something? Also, it says that my transcripts were requested on the same day and I mailed them with the original application. Will I have to get them again and resubmit them?

Hello all,

I recently began the application process when I came upon this website and announcements about some of the upcoming changes. I was curious as to whether any one knows what the creation of a Ready Reserve component will "look like" in practice. Would one be able to apply directly for a reserve commission as in the armed services? Would it have regular trainings or drills, or just involve being available to be called upon in event of a public health emergency?
