USAA Career Starter Loans for newly commissioned officers

USAA has Career Starter Loans at a fixed rate of 4.99%, 25,000 maximum unsecured loan, payable for a 60 month term. First payments start 90 days following the loan closure date or commissioning date whichever is later. Eligibility for Direct Commission Officers is 4 months prior to commissioning date through 12 months after the commissioning date.

Prior military officers are not eligible; however, you would be eligible if you were prior enlisted and are taking your first commission from PHS. You must pass a credit score check.
